Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is a type of skin cancer that grows in the basal cells, which are located at the bottom of the epidermis, the outermost membrane of the skin. Basal cell skin cancers are the most common type of non-melanoma skin cancer, accounting for about 3 out of every 4 cases.
